April Vacation Program 2012

Meetings:	Monday through Friday April 16-20, 9am-2pm.
Performances:	Friday at 4 PM
Cost:	$225

Join us for another one of our whirlwind vacation week dramatic productions. Led by our experienced teen directors, we will go from casting on Monday through staging, set design and costume selection straight through to the big performance on Friday afternoon with plenty of fun along the way.

Spring Workshops 2012

Our spring workshops will be starting in February this year.

Beginning Acting

Instructor:	Helen Lewis
Ages:	7–12
Size:	Maximum 18
Meetings:	Wednesdays, 4-5 PM, February 8th through April 25th. No meetings on February 22nd or April 18th.
Performances:	There will be a showcase performance on Saturday, May 5th at 7 PM.
Cost:	$200

Welcome to the stage! This course for beginning actors will use theatre games and familiar scenes which will allow actors to develop voice and movement, create a character, explore dialogue, and work with a scene partner. Students will prepare brief scenes for a final showcase performance. Actors of all levels of experience are welcome!

Showtunes Showcase

Instructor:	Paula Chase
Ages:	7–12
Size:	Maximum 15, Minimum 6*
Meetings:	Saturdays, 9-10:30 AM, February 11th through April 28th. No class on February 25th or April 21st.
Performances:	Showcase performance Saturday, May 5th at 7 PM.
Cost:	$250

Showtunes Showcase is a program designed to introduce participants to the many components of musical theater, including choreography, singing, and acting. Students will learn songs from popular Broadway shows to be performed in a final showcase performance. Students will have the opportunity to be showcased in large and small group numbers, duets, trios, and small solos. All participants will develop the skills both to work as a group and to shine on their own! Students of all abilities are encouraged to join!

Instructor:	Colleen Rua
Ages:	13–18
Size:	Maximum 10, Minimum 6*
Meetings:	Four Tuesdays, 5-8 PM, April 3rd through May 1st. No meeting on April 17th.
Performances:	There will be a showcase performance on Saturday, May 5th at 7 PM.
Cost:	$200

Bring your own theatrical vision to life! This course will cover the basics of directing including use of space, working with text, working with actors, inventing a design and the rehearsal and production process. This course will begin with auditioning actors who will perform in a final showcase performance of directors' scenes. Enrolled students should have prior performing experience.

Minimums: If the minimum number of registrations is not reached, the workshop will be cancelled.
